Added to cart
This is an 8 week, 3 days per week Strength Program designed specifically for distance runners written by Coach Horton.

Coach Horton has trained cross-country programs at two different elite-level colleges. During his time working with these teams, there were two school records broken and runners were named to the All-Region and All Conference teams.

He was also fortunate enough to coach runners who were named Freshman of the Year and Runner of the Year.

The program includes a daily warm-up and strength training workout.

The program is customizable based on your individual training maxes. Don't have training maxes? Don't worry, the program explains how to start without them.

The Distance Running Strength Program focuses on many areas to help improve running strength and stamina including many single leg movements, glute activation and strengthening and high tempo circuits.

Finally, the program comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked.

Why would I do a money-back guarantee on a program that could easily be downloaded and then asked to refunded? Because I want to make 100% sure that if you buy a program from me that you feel like you got value from it. If you don't, I will give you your money back. Simple as that.

If you have any specific questions related to the program, feel free to reach out to me directly at

By purchasing this program you agree that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions located within the Horton Barbell Disclaimers Page.

What people are saying

“I was fortunate enough to work with Coach Horton while playing football at Georgia Tech. After my years in college and playing in the NFL, he is the most innovative strength coach I have been around.

His knowledge and understanding of the human body and its movements amazed me. His level of care for each individual athlete also constantly stood out. You will not find someone else more committed in helping you reach your goals than Coach Horton.”

— Tyler Davis

Coach Horton was an integral part of my development as a college football player, taking me to a new level when it came to size, speed and strength.

— Matt Hennessy

“When I played at Temple, Coach Horton played a big role in helping me plan my conditioning and nutrition. He also played a pivotal role in helping me develop as an athlete. His vast knowledge and great coaching helped me develop better speed, agility, power and change of direction.

His coaching is one of the reasons that I learned how to train and take care of my body properly. I still use a lot of his advice and coaching points in the NFL today.”
